Spider webbing on a stalk of native Western Rye grass

This is spider webbing on a stalk of native Western Rye aka Blue Wildrye (Elymus glaucus, Poaceae) grass in the woods today -- with the spider and its prey! This is the work of a Mesh Web Weaver spider in the family Dictynidae -- and the webbing works! It is example of cribillate webbing. The webbing is frizzy and comprised of very fine threads that are spun into a strand like hand-spun wool or chenille yarn, different from ordinary spider webbing. See this photo and this photo for more info. Happy Web Webnesday! (San Marcos Pass, 9 August 2023)
