Somebody's nest under a leaf of Coast Live Oak

This is somebody's nest under a fallen leaf of native Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia, Fagaceae) in the woods a couple of days ago. I'm not sure who's nest it is, but I would guess it's the work of a caterpillar rather than a spider. The nest is actually hollow with an opening on the left where something presumably got out rather than in. I believe the material is real webbing and not some kind of cotton wool, so Happy Web Webnesday! (San Marcos Pass, 14 December 2020)
