Webbing in a small acorn cup - with raindrops
This is webbing across the opening of a small acorn cup of Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia, Fagaceae) - with raindrops. I assume it's the webbing of a spider. I didn't measure the acorn, but it can't be much more than 1/2 inch across. This is another photo taken in the oak mulch above our retaining wall at a comfortable height for photography, lucky me and lucky for my back and knees - and happy Web Webnesday!
