Halloween spider!
This Halloween spider came from the Rite-Aid pharmacy, but I put it on the real web of this spider for my photo. The spider is actually a plastic ring, and I tore up the web some getting it into position. This is my photo for the Macro Mondays group, with the theme of "Halloween". It's only marginally a macro photo - the spider is 1-1/2 inch high, so I figure the whole field of view is about 2-3/4 inch, barely legal for the group. I first thought shooting a real spider would be a natural for this assignment, but then I read the admin j.towbin's claim that "posting a plain old spider photo won't cut it this week--all photos MUST BE related to Halloween." I figure this works - and I hope it also works for Arachtober 30! (San Marcos Pass, 30 October 2017)
(Interesting news today!)
