Diurnal (daytime) Lichen Moth (Lycomorpha, Lithosiini, Arctiidae) on native Coyote Bush

I believe this is an extraordinary diurnal (daytime) Lichen Moth (Lithosiini, Arctiidae) - maybe Lycomorpha fulgens or Lycomorpha regulus. I don't know anything about them, except here is this one working staminate flowers of a late-flowering shrub of native Coyote Bush (Baccharis pilularis) in the Asteraceae plant family. When you look close in the woods, you never know what you'll find! (San Marcos Pass, 8 October 2015)

It was hot today, but a layer of high clouds helped mitigate the heat a bit. When the clouds gave way, the temperature rose to 95° on our upstairs porch, no doubt hotter down lower. Tomorrow might be a notch warmer, but then it should cool down a bit.

It was breezy today, but it's working up to downright windy tonight. Hot and windy makes me nervous.
