Wild Bee (Anthophila, Hymenoptera) munching a stamen in the mint patch

This is a small Wild Bee (Anthophila aka Apoidae, order Hymenoptera) munching a stamen of one of the last flowers in the mint patch of the garden. That flower is only about 1/16-1/8 inch across, which gives a sense of scale! The plants have mostly stopped flowering. *Sigh* I'll miss these flowers, I've gotten many nice photos here. It's been home for many interesting insects in this drought year. (San Marcos Pass, 22 September 2014)
