World Earth Day '08

"Let every individual and institution now think and act as a responsible trustee of Earth, seeking choices in ecology, economics and ethics that will provide a sustainable future, eliminate pollution, poverty and violence, awaken the wonder of life and foster peaceful progress in the human adventure."

- John McConnell, founder of International Earth Day

Do something this 22th April and everyday if we all CARE!!

Also, inspired by the work of my friend Rajah Brooke

This was taken @ water source (almost) of the Melinau River, Mulu National Park (UNESCO World Heritage site) - March 2008. To the right is the underground river tunnel (out of view) from where the water actually flow out from Clearwater Caves underground river system ie. the water source origin! Pristine nature- intend to return to the same spot a few years from now and hopefully see the same.

Food for thoughts - Borneo is home to the world's oldest tropical rainforests which, until a few decades ago, completely covered the island. Among the planet's most biologically diverse ecosystems, these forests are home to thousands of endemic animal, reptile, insect and plant species as well as orangutans, rhinos, hornbills, macaques, gibbons, tarsiers, slow loris and also at the same time, primary oxygen-producing source for Earth's atmosphere....North America with only approx 0.05% of Earth's population produces roughly 1/3 of Earth's CO emission (global warming!)... go figure.
