Unique
lighting info: SB-900 camera left, shoot-through umbrella, triggered via Nikon CLS
post-processing done with Capture NX2 (w/Color Efex Pro 3), and Photoshop CS5
I met Michelle through modelmayhem.com, which is a site where models, photographers, and make-up artists can find people to work with. With this shoot, we were both helping each other get some unique pics to add to our portfolios.
Michelle is new at modeling. She hadn't thought about it too much until she tried out for America's Next Top Model and made it to the closed auditions round. Now, she's looking to build her portfolio and see if any opportunities come up. If anyone in need of a model is reading this and would like to hire her you can find her at Model Mayhem, her number there is 1817640. My number there is 1793199.
The paint theme was her idea. I wasn't sure at first how it would work out, but I ended up really liking it. In fact, she picked the location, her outfit, the theme, and came up with 99% of the poses on her own. I just had to deal with the technical issues. She was changing poses so fast, I had to tell her when I was stopping to check my results so that I wouldn't miss out on shooting any of them.
