Ugly Duckling
This General Motors EMD BL2 was the lead engine on the New Tygart Flyer out of Elkins, WV. I've never seen one of these engines before, so it was pretty sweet seeing one for the first time that was in working order. From what they told us on the excursion train, this engine was nicknamed the "Ugly Duckling" due to the odd shape of the engine. They might call it ugly, but it sure got the job done. Thanks to my soon-to-be mother-in-law for the idea to ride the rails there in Elkins. We had a great time for sure!
