1961:3. The Viaduct between Cranley Gardens and Muswell Hill Stations on the Alexandra Palce Branch.

1961. 3. Taken early in 1961, this is the viaduct between Cranley Gardens and Muswell Hill stations on the Great Northern Railway branch line from Highgate to Alexandra Palace that was taken over by London Transport in 1935.

They had plans to electrify the line and incorporate it into the Northern Line but the war intervened and the electrification, although started, was never finished. British Railways Eastern Region steam locos continued to work the line until it was closed to passengers in 1954 and to freight in 1957.

There is now a footpath / cycleway over this viaduct.
