RD10233. Northern Rail 156 Class DMU 156 471 arrives at Buxton with 150/1 Class DMU 150 149 attached at the rear. The train is the 17.49 from Manchester Piccadilly.
Introduced in 1987, the 156 'Super Sprinters' were built by Metro Cammell in Birmingham and the 150 'Sprinters' were built by British Rail Engineering in York with the first units entering service in 1984.
I was pleased to see a signal box and proper semaphore signals still in use here.
