Sensor skin on cobot style robot for detecting collisions

A collaborative robot (or cobot) in the demonstration lab at Bosch Feuerbach factory in Stuttgart performs pick and place operations without danger to operators. This is achieved with a sensor skin which detects potential collisions causing the robot to slow down, change route or stop as appropriate.
