Toby in the Woods
Good ole Toby.... he LOVES to go hiking in the woods on our farm. I think he has sniffed every inch of our farm... or at least he tries to! In case you're wondering, he's a Schnoodle... a cross between a Poodle and a Schnauzer. They call them "hybrid" dogs. Anyway, he's the smartest dog we've ever had and he has the l-o-n-g-e-s-t eyelashes I've ever seen on a dog!
All throughout our woods, there are patches of those green plants. They are some sort of ground vine and stay green all year round. Someone told us once that they were "protected" plants. Does anyone know what these plants are called?
UPDATE: A great BIG Thank You goes to my dear friend LORI (Lori-B.) who ID'd the green plants in this photograph. They are Lycopodium digitatum, commonly known as Fan Clubmoss or Southern Ground Cedar or Ground Pine. It is endangered in many states in the USA.
Hope you all have a great week!
