Dan's Dad rescued these documents from a skip (dumpster) in Bristol in the 70s. The vellum document in the foreground is a record of indenture for the Company and Corporation of Merchant Tailors dated 1647. The book behind it is the last will and testament of Mrs. Sarah Ridley and details the alms house she had set up - it's dated 1716. The ledger in the background contains the meeting notes of a committee planning the 1864 opening celebrations of Isambard Kingdom Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol.
