Red Pass Snake

A 10 shot panorama near the top of Red Pass on the trail to Titus Canyon. It's the most colorful area I've seen in Death Valley. The road to Titus Canyon is full of scenic views of mountains, cliffs, valleys, and wildlife. There's also Leadfield Ghost Town, Klare Springs, and Petroglyphs. Also, many open mines, and hiking trails.

In this photo, I wanted to capture the wide view of the mountains and road. As well as the sunlight on the mountain on the right. The people and 2 Jeeps give it scale and depth, but one Jeep was on the move, and the dude with the camera was about to leave, so I had to snap quickly to get the composition. 20 seconds later this scene would not have the dude, the Jeep and the light. I snapped off 2 panoramas quickly, both 10 shots each, one was a back up.

Shot hand held with the Panasonic Lumix LX100.
