Dead Wood the Desert is my Ocean

Mesquite Trees in Death Valley National Park. B&W style with some Dodge & Burn high contrast. A nice ocean beach would've been nice, but not possible in Death Valley. Thus, making lemon aid out of sand.

This area is close to the parking area, it's highly traveled as evident by the foot prints all over. Played with composition and used the footprints for texture like water moving, and stretched it with a ultra wide lens. Hence, a Faux beach image with imaginary water.

In March 2017, I turned on the TV late one night, and a scene from this area caught my attention. A Indian woman was in a shoot out with a Calvary Scout. As the old B&W film movie played on, they showed various locations in Death Valley National Monument (as it was called back in the day). The film's ending was shot at Zabriskie Point. The film was called "War Paint".
