Mustang Halation

Went to the July 4th festival at the Livermore Municipal Airport earlier last month and saw this P-51 Mustang sitting on the tarmac. I immediately composed for this shot with my Barnack Leica. I had a Light Lens Lab 35mm F2 mounted in the camera. But it's not wide enough. A 21mm ultrawide should have covered the whole plane. After the film was developed, I saw these infamous halations appear over several highlight spots. Those are the artifacts of Cinestill film whose remjet layer has been removed such that a normal C41 film development can be used.

Film: Cinestill 400D

Camera: Leica IIIf

Lens: Light Lens Lab 35mm F2 LTM 8-element
