Dress For The Chairman
My wife is a member of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. Obviously, she loves arts and fashion. Last week, a new exhibit regarding the most iconic collections of 20th- and 21st-century women’s fashion was open to the public. We went to check it out over the weekend. Of course, I intended to do some street photography there given the opportunity.
As I was loitering around the exhibhit and this dress with imprints of Mao Zedong 's portrait caught by eyes. At first, I thought it was a Warhol 's creation. But when I looked closer at the description below, it said the make of this dress was a collaboration between Zhang Hongtu and Vivienne Tam, the latter being well known in the New York fashion industry.
For this photo, I decided to open up the aperture to F2 just enought to get the old lady on the left somewhat near focus to capture her expression of curiosity. My focus point was at one of the Mao 's head.
