EXR Sunset

I was wondering how the Fujifilm SuperCCD sensor with EXR technology could stack up against a high dynamic scene like this. I metered my camera at the sky to retain the highlights. In post, I tried to lift the shadows down below. I was pushing the JPEG file to the limit. The resulted image had some fine grains that reminded me of film. The highlights near the sun are a bit artificial, but that 's the best I could do with the file. If you look closer to the shadows, there are even dead pixels sprinkled all over. Am I content with this Fujifilm point and shoot> It 's hard to say. I just want see how bad CCD sensor performs against CMOD sensors when it comes to high contrast scene this.
