Castillo de San Marcos in Florida
The Castillo de San Marcos, built in 1672 in St Augustine, Florida, is the oldest masonry fort in the United States. It began as a Spanish fort, then turned over to the British, and finally to the United States. Today it is a National Park Museum and worth a visit when in Florida.
