"This week went by at a snail's pace...
... at least the weekend is finally here!!"
:-)
What:
A curious snail making his way across my patio table.
About:
I snapped this a couple month's ago after a Spring day sun shower. It was a beautiful Spring day but then a huge rain cloud moved over my place at it rained like crazy for about 15 minutes. Then all of a sudden it was sunny again! Anyway I walked out on my deck and found this guy making his way through the puddles that were on my patio table.
Luckily my buddy had loaned me his macro lens for the weekend so I grabbed it and tried to get a shot. You wouldn't think these guys moved very much but it was sure hard to try to get a shot of him! I rested the lens on my hand (on the table) to try to steady it. I really wanted to get both his eyes in focus and after 72 shots (!) this was the best I could get. This macro stuff is hard!!
I really love macro shots though and decided to go big and order a nice lens. It just arrived and I can't wait to do some shooting with it this weekend. I'm going to the motorcycle races though on Sunday so I might not get much time with it.
Anyway, it is the (relatively) new Canon 100mm f/2.8L IS macro lens. I read some amazing reviews on it so it went for it! Really looking forward to trying it out!
EXIF:
Canon 40D : Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro: 1/60s @ ƒ/16 ISO 200
Please, no multiple invites or crazy glittery graphics. Thank You
