Happy face!
Meet out backyard buddy, Mr Pink and Grey Galah. This old fella looks pretty pleased with himself as he pecks around the bird feeder with all his buddies. But here in Australia, the name Galah is used in a rather unfortunate way as it is used to describe someone who has made some rather misguided decisions. However, these feathery friends will always have a special place in my mind. Early on in our time in Australia I used to drive out to the Central Queensland gem fields and scratch around for sapphire. I did find a few, and every morning at first light, as I slowly rolled over in my swag, (that's a waterproof sleeping bag for you in the north), anyway, the first thing I heard was the welcome fussing of a flock of Galah's as they weaved through the tees above my head and started their day. It was a great wakeup call for me. God has indeed given us a beautiful world!
