Sulphur-flower buckwheat
Eriogonum umbellatum Torr. var. umbellatum. Growing with Western wheatgrass. This hillside is being invaded by a number of weeds including Secale cereale (Cereal rye). After several yeas of weeding out the Secale, the buckwheat has thrived and the native Western wheatgrass is returning.
