Fragile cactus
Opuntia fragilis (Nutt.) Haw.

Late blooming, usually plants are past blooming at this roughly 4,850 ft. elevation by this time. 2010 was in general a late year. The bee clutching the filaments is probably Diadasia australis which only visits cactus flowers for pollen (bees also need nectar).
