Backlit

The beautiful little side garden at St. Peter's in Capitol Hill caught just a touch of afternoon light a couple weeks ago as I was walking by. I liked how it gave a nice rim of light on the statue of the Virgin's shoulder and also lit up the grasses in front, I wish I'd separated the two a bit more in my framing to show the juxtopositioning fo the two features illuminated but I think its still kind of cool. This is a shot that was really made decent through stand development in my opinion, so much is in shadow that the long development pulled plenty of detail and created nice tonality. In LR I did mess with the curves to make the statue a bit more middle grey to bring out detail.

3 agitations at 30 min

Timer was set for 59 min but I missed the cut off, probably went 1 hr 10 min or so
