Vessel (TKA) - Daytime - Hudson Yards
After taking nighttime photos of the Vessel, I went back the following day and took some more, including the closeup intended to replicate the nighttime image.
The Vessel (TKA) was opened in March, 2019, intended to be a landmark/symbol of the huge Hudson Yards project west of 10th Avenue. The structure has about 150 separate staircases with about 2500 steps and 80 landings, along with elevators for people who are unable to climb the steps. TKA means "Temporarily Known As" with the expectation that there will eventually be a permanent name.
