Horse Chestnut - on 1944 Supreme Panchromatic Film
This was taken on film that expired 70 years ago in 1944!
Guido Tosi of Six Gates Films in Milan acquired a batch of it, and kindly sent 10 exposure rolls to a number of people to test it. I was one of the lucky ones.
Originally rated at ISO50, I exposed it at ISO12 to allow for loss of sensitivity with age. I developed it for 15 mins in Ilfosol 3 at a dilution of 1 in 15. The results are amazing, I would never have guessed that they came from such old film.
The camera was an Olympus OM10.
