Dark-capped Bulbul (Pycnonotus tricolor)
Bulbuls act as an alarm system to other birds in that they are among the first birds to spot a predator, be it a snake, mongoose, raptor or domestic cat. They set up a loud, on-going chattering that draws in other birds, each adding to the noise, until the predator leaves.
Skukuza Camp, Kruger Park, South Africa.
