An Outlet for the Mind
Finally visited 221B Baker Street a few weeks ago and was completely blown away by the work Darius Godric has done to replicate one of the most famous rooms of the 21st century.
He has filled his project with impeccably selected and placed objects to replicate Mr. Holme's apartment from the BBC's series Sherlock.
He did such a good job that it has been used as backdrops for many Flickrites and artists, such as Joss Floss's "Looking for Clues" exhibit at Ella's Joint recently.
But when I went to take my own photos one item irked me. Beside a hallmark of the room was really low detail floor lamp in place for a memorable moonlamp from the series.
So, I made it my mission to learn Blender well enough to build it myself and with Darius' support I was able to do just that.
You can see it above in the photo and I even threw it on Marketplace if anyone wants a copy.
I priced it at 44L in honor of 44 Eaton, a great music club and reference from one of my favorite Sherlock episodes. The process was a fun learning experience and a great honor to become a part of such a great project.
Hope everyone enjoys the photo and please consider dropping a donation or notecard if you decide to visit Baker Street!
