Counter Skin "Colors" by Tatsuo Miyajima

A new "counter" video art installation by Tatsuo Miyajima, now showing at KIRISHIMA Open-Air Museum at Kagoshima prefecture in Kyushu.

 

I had the honor to support Mr.Miyajima's latest installation work collaboration for the past 4 years and now it's revealed to the public.

The installation takes part in Tatsuo Miyajima's latest solo exhibition, "Life and Death: Light of Life" which are giant moving images projected on six screens(28 meter width) with 3 men and 3 women in different races, breathing deeply while the counter painted on their bodies morphs to the next digit number, pulsating on their skin. You hear the breath of each identity facing straight towards the screen.
