Well, after some quick back of the envelope calculations, Mr Fox calculated that the drop was just short enough, should Mrs PB fall, to render her unconscious and a safe distance from falling beans!
Maybe letting the wagon plummet wasn't the optimal solution, but feeling a little weary he decided to go for the easy solution!
Fortunately, as predicted, the blow to Mrs PB's head was just sufficient for her to forget how she got it!
Mr Fox feeling slightly guilty, and Mrs PB a little concussed, they whiled away a lazy afternoon baking a quiche!
