Decagon: Ten-sided

Deca - derived from the greek word 'δεκα' - representing the number "ten".

Often used to signify a perfect score, Ten is is a word for the numbers from 1 to 10 as a whole; thus it is both a number and also a collection of numbers; in other words, Ten is the first 'whole' in number clusters.

Ten forms the basis of our decimal system and is also reflective in our nature, for example, it is the number of digits of our extremities (hands and feet).

Ten-fold-geometry is found through-out nature: crabs and lobsters both have ten legs, also the citrus fruit often have ten segments.
