Inukshuk - Arctic Sunset

I made this stone Inukshuk in the garden area today for this composition ; )

 

The rock formation shape originates from the art structures that were first created by the Arctic Inuit people:

 

The Inuit are among the first known people to inhabit portions of Arctic Canada, Alaska and Greenland.

 

The stone figure portrays the human form and is practical in the sense of its placement because it is used for navigation and as a hunting landmark.

 

'The Inuit elders were well-versed on forecasting the weather from the star colors that were peeking through the atmosphere, constellations and from elaborate cloud formations, however, with recent climate changes these predictions became less accurate and today scientists are collaborating with the Inuit for their unique insight in order to analyze some of these current changes..
