gas tank tragedy

so, this was fun. that contraption front and center is an electric-powered skateboard that one of our friends rigged up. he had just gotten back from a run out on the playa when he lost control and fell off. It continued on, going under our campmate's volvo and ruptured the gas tank. we had to scramble with empty water containers and whatever else we could find in order to catch the gas. we thought we were fucked, but somehow word got out about it and someone magically dropped off a gas tank repair kit for us the next morning, unsolicited.
