the tomahawk kid
easy-partners
beth and pickle have only been a partnership for a couple of months now but when i went to the stables yesterday for the first time, i was surprised and impressed with beths expertise in handling her horse...i'm not usually keen on horses and don't have much to do with the whole horse thing other than ask how it's all going and try and show as much interest as i can from a distance...yesterday was different...mandy claimed not to be feeling that well and beth asked me to take her over to the stables...i've a sneaky feeling i might have been set up though nobody has said anything...ah what the hell...grabbed my camera and off we went...firstly it was beths ability and confidence that struck me...how to maintain the horse, how to tack it up and deal with it's peculiarities...then we went out around the fields, me walking and them cantering up and down and i started to like this horse...its character started growing on me and i began to see how much fun they were both having in each others company...by the time we got back to the stables i was much more at ease with the horse and much less intimidated by it...and i'm really glad i went and i will go again...soon...
