An ink blob expands over time. The "time" axis of a timelapse video has been converted to the Z axis to produce a static volume seen here, converting from a XYT to a XYZ 3D representation. The big pink model I cut on a Techno CNC router at TechShop Menlo Park. The small models were produced on a 3D printer by shapeways.com
