To me this has a definitive atmospheric and dramatic 'feel' which is amplified by the black and white and low angle, putting the viewer on the same level as the seat of the chairs. The darkness and indeed the pools of light which contrast so well with each other coupled with the poster on the wall all gel perfectly creating a shot of interest and intrigue!

I first became aware of darkenergy777's work towards the end of 2009. Working in black and white and monotone creates I believe a sensational art form and can leave the imagination open to interpret images in a completely different way to colour! The work is also done using film with a variety of cameras and this I find adds another dimension to the incredible overall result! It is difficult to single out just one piece of work in the gallery from darkenergy777 as his entire collection I find awesome...it has certainly inspired my desire to use B&W again after my initial usage of the medium with film back in the early to mid 1970's.

I just love this composition! Indeed many of Beat09's pictures display that fabulous 'cor blimey, what a photograph' type of image...in other words terrific shots! This particular one has such a wonderful character and atmosphere to it I can imagine myself sitting on one of the seats within the picture, the light and shade are mind blowing...just brilliant!

A truly sensational image which has fabulous foreground detail as well as mega background interest! The lighting I just love...this is an image I can look at and find myself still staring at 20 minutes later...a tremendous picture which doesn't have to try too hard to hit all the right buttons for me, it oozes quality from corner to corner!
