Futile Stalking, Pt. 2 - _TNY_4659

I tried sneaking up on this male ruddy darter (Sympetrum sanguineum), but clever the way the eyes on dragonflies are arranged means that they can look in pretty much every direction at all times.

 

I got this shot because he let me - not because he didn't see me.
