Blue on Yellow, Pt. 2 - _TNY_4230
I saw this male common blue (Polyommatus icarus) land and while I was closing in with the camera it kept its wings open, showing the gorgeous blue colour of the dorsal side of the wings, but then it folded the wings up and kept them like that.
I'm not complaining though, it stayed put there very nicely and allowed me to get in close with the camera and then actually switch lenses to the MP-E65 and get in close(r) again.
Also, if you zoom in on the blue fur - doesn't it look like beyond soft?
