This male European garden spider (Araneus diadematus) decided inside my mother-in-law's greenhouse was a great place to set up shop.
I wasn't really as much sold on the idea and relocated him outside and put him on one of the leaves on the grapes growing on the outside of the greenhouse, hoping to take some photo of him in all his bristlesness (that's a word, right?).
Mr. Cross here however was a bit grumpy from being relocated and didn't want his picture taken so he immediately crawled to the edge of the leaf and continued down and under it.
As you can see, I kind of insisted and turned the leaf over and took a couple of shots of him on the underside instead.
