What is That? - TNY_20250630_144251
Walking along the Stenbäcken creek in Tyresta National Park, I noticed something green on a tree that had fallen across the creek.
It turned out to be the head (and leg) of a downy emerald dragonfly (Cordulia aenea) which had been left by a predator, presumably a bird, and now a bunch of Lasius ants were trying to figure out how to bring it home so I took this short clip using my phone.
A three-exposure focus stack of the scene taken using the real camera can be found here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/54662597797/
