The House Bumblebee, Pt. 2 - _TNY_5778
My wife found this tree bumblebee (Bombus hypnorum), also known as the new garden bumblebee, inside my mother-in-law's house when we were spending part of the summer up there - which was kind of fitting.
You see, in Swedish, this species is known as "hushumla", meaning house bumblebee. Now since neither Mrs.Bumble here nor any of the rest of us wanted her indoors, I brought her out and placed her on the patio railing and went for the camera.
She was in no hurry to fly away, possibly a bit tired from being stuck inside for a while so I managed some shots I'm quite pleased with with some nice eye detail if you zoom in.
