Lizard Made from Frog Parts - _TNY_2221

Cleaning up algae from my mother-in-law's garden pond made for a nice surpirse catch - a female smooth newt (Lissotriton vulgaris). It turned out there were sevaeral of them there for a little while and we caught a couple more as well.

 

Looking at this one it really looks like someone tried really hard to build a lizard, but all they had was frog parts , right?
