Pointed Out - _TNY_0466

The malachite butterfly (Siproeta stelenes) is one of those species which are both spectacular and fairly common at the butterfly house.

Since I've seen them many times, I tend to overlook their beauty and pursue less common species, but when I pointed out tis one to a fellow visitor, she was just amazed which in a way made me appreciate it more as well.

A shot of another specimen of the same species showing the other side of the wings at a different visit here: www.flickr.com/photos/tinyturtle/54511906593/
