Fourteen-Spotted Stack - _TNY_1714S2
When shooting bug macro, getting the eyes in focus is nearly always desirable. But for some subjects, like this cream-spot ladybird (Calvia quatuordecimguttata) I found at the Lida Friluftsområde recreation area in Huddinge, Sweden, parts which are central to the image are out of focus due to the Depth of field being so shallow at large magnification (this is at 3.3:1 mag).
Since the ladybird stayed still here, I chose to solve it by getting a second shot with the elytra in focus and then stacked the two shots using Zerene Stacker.
