May 12th really ought be late enough for there to be some action to shoot, even up here around Stockholm, Sweden, but in 2021, it was very slim pickings when I went for a trip to the Paradiset Nature Reserve in Huddinge, Sweden.
This queen of one of the earth bumblebees (Bombus lucorum coll.) was one of the few bugs that I came across.
