On the Front Door - _TNY_1376
As I returned back home from the supermarket after doing some grocery shopping, I noticed a dark little spot on the white front door.
This turned out to be a bit of a rare visitor - a hieroglyphic ladybird (Coccinella hieroglyphica)!
This species has a diet which apparently includes leaf beetles andf not just the "regular" aphids which most ladybirds eat.After getting this shot, I managed to get it to climb onto my index finger so I could move it over to a grape hyacinth where I got to take a couple of more photos of it.
