Parasitised - _TNY_1345
This is some sort of aphid (Aphidoidea sp.), and the unusual shape and colour comes from this one having been parasitised by a small parasitic wasp in the Aphidius genus which has just walked up to it and injected an egg into the aphid.
These aphids are actually commercially sold to greenhouses and plant nurseries as pest control. You buy boxes of the wasps and open them in your nursery and the wasps go on the hunt to locate the aphids themselves.
