Ball of Softness - _TNY_7709

Here are a pair of Eurasian bee beetles (Trichius fasciatus) enjoying some quality time together on a thistle in Tyresta National Park, south of Sweden in late June of 2024.

 

The female had decided to combine this activity with the tasty pollen of the thistle and was munching away while they were coupled.
