Late in the Season, Pt. 3 - _TNY_5516
Back in September of 2021, we had a random day of summer weather here - even though we were almost halfway into September. Temps of 24°C isn't typical . but I jumped at the opportunity and drove out to my favourite spot at Åva-Stensjödal.
There it was a bit slow to begin with, but things definitely picked up and I consider the trip a success.
Amongst other things, the darters were out in large numbers and feeling quite amorous. Here is a pair of ruddy darters (Sympetrum sanguineum) busy with securing future generations.
